(Amending the zoning map pertaining to property located at
381 East 11th Avenue to modify the boundaries of a landmark site)
An ordinance amending the zoning map pertaining to property located at 381 East 11th
Avenue to modify the boundaries of a landmark site pursuant to Petition No. PLNHLC2015-
00403.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Historic Landmark Commission held a public hearing on
July 16, 2015 on an application submitted by Larry Perkins ("Applicant") to alter the boundaries
of a landmark site on property located at 381 East 11th Avenue (the "Property"), to remove the
landmark site designation including its H Historic Preservation Overlay District designation from
an approximately 7,205 square foot portion of the Property pursuant to Petition No.
PLNHLC2015-00403; and
WHEREAS, at its July 16, 2015 meeting, the historic landmark commission voted in
favor of forwarding a negative recommendation to the Salt Lake City Planning Commission and
the Salt Lake City Council on said application; and
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on December
9, 2015 on said application; and
WHEREAS, at its December 9, 2015 meeting, the planning commission voted in favor of
forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said application; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that
adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as adopted
by the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and
hereby is amended to remove a portion of the parcel located at 381 East 1 lth Avenue from the H
Historical Preservation Overlay District and from the Salt Lake City Register of Cultural
Resources, as that portion of the Property is described on Exhibit "A" attached hereto.
SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its
first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 7th day of June
2016.

Begirming at a point which is N00°02'02"W 151.23 feet from the Southeast Corner of Lot 1,
Block 159, Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey and running thence N89°51'43"W 131.00 feet;
thence N00°02'02''W 55.00 feet; thence S89°51'43"E 131.00 feet to the East line of Lot 4, said
Block i 59; thence along said East line S00°02'02"E 55.00 feet to the point of beginning.
Contains 7,205 square feet or 0.165 acres, more or less.
