approximately 675 South in Salt Lake City, Utah
AN ORDINANCE VACATING a 10-foot east/west alley within the
Butte Subdivision at approximately 675 South, running between
1000 West and Post Street in Salt Lake City, Utah.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
that the City's fee interests in the alley described below, which
was formally dedicated within the Butte Subdivision, is no longer
necessary for use as a public alleyway, and that the vacation of
said alley described below will not be adverse to the general
public's interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the 10-foot east/west alley in the Butte
Subdivision, located at approximately 675 South between 1000 West
and Post Streets, which was the subject of Petition No. 537 of
1981, more particularly described below, be, and the same is
hereby VACATED and declared no longer to be needed or available
for use as a public purpose:
COMMENCING at the Northeast Corner of Lot 14, Block;2,
Butte Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 16, Plat
"C", Salt Lake City Survey, which is the intersection
of a 10-foot alley and the west line of Post Street;
thence running West 297± feet to the east line of 1000
West Street, said point being the Northwest Corner of
Lot 24 of said Subdivision; thence running North 10
feet to the Southwest Corner of Lot 25 of said
Subvidision; thence running East 297.0 feet, more or
less, to the Southeast Corner of said Lot 65 of said
Subdivision; thence South 10 feet, more or less, to
the point of beginning.
Said vacation is EXPRESSLY SUBJECT TO all. existing _
rights of way and easements of all public utilities of
any and every description now located on, in, under or w
over the confines of the above-described property, and
�'- ALSO SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the GJ
purpose of obtaining, altering, replacing, removing, C
repairing, or rerouting said utilities and all of �!a

Said vacation is ALSO SUBJECT TO any existing rights

RE: Legal description of Bill No. 26 of 1982, '

Thank you for bringing to our attention the County
Recorder's recording notes. They discovered an undetected
discrepancy in the legal description. There is no Block 2
of said subdivision, although this street falls within the
old Lot 2 of Block 16 which undoubtedly caused the discre-
pancy. However, because the bounds accurately describe the
street, the description, though flawed, is still totally
sufficient and has been accepted by the County. You may
want to note the discrepancy with the original ordinance to
resolve any questions.
