AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE SOUTHERN PORTION OF A PUBLIC ALLEY
LOCATED WITHIN THE ARLINGTON HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, SAID ALLEY
BEING 15 FEET WIDE RUNNING SOUTH FROM 700 SOUTH STREET AT
APPROXIMATELY 1075 EAST BETWEEN McCLELLAND AND 1100 EAST STREETS
IN SALT LAKE CITY .
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing , that the City' s interest in a portion of
the alley described below which was platted within the Arlington
Heights Subdivision is no longer necessary for use as a public
way and that the vacation of said portion of the alley described
below will not be adverse to the interests of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. The southern portion of a 15
foot alley located in Block 7 of the ARLINGTON HEIGHTS
SUBDIVISION lying between Lots 1-4 and 36-38 , as said alley runs
south from 700 South at approximately 1075 East between
McClelland and 1100 East Streets, which is the subject of
Petition No . 400-137 of 1983 submitted by Elva Plummer, and more

particularly described below be, and the same hereby is VACATED

The said parcel is a step shaped portion involving
the southern portion of the 15 foot alley located
in Block 7 of said subdivision at approximately
1075 East as it runs south from 700 South between
` McClelland and 1100 East. The portion being
vacated lies between Lots 1-4 and 36-38 of said
Block, more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 1 , Block
7 , ARLINGTON HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION, a subdivision of
Block ,5 , Plat "F" , Salt Lake City Survey; and
running thence north along the west line of a 15
foot alley 87. 5 feet; thence east 7 . 5 feet, more
or less to the centerline of said 15 foot alley;
thence south 25 . 0 feet along said centerline;
thence east 7 . 5 feet, more or less, to the east
line of said 15 foot alley; thence south along the
east line of said 15 foot alley, 62 .5 feet to the
southwest corner of Lot 38 , said block and
subdivision; thence west 15 feet to the point of
beginning . Contains 0 . 026 acres more or less.
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO
all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above-described property; and ALSO SUBJECT TO
the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining ,
altering, replacing, removing, repairing or rerouting said
utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
