AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-30.
WHEREAS, in response to rezoning petition No. 400-93-30, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings
before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has
taken intoconsideration citizen testimony, filing and
demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of
its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council
has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property
located at 223, 227, 229, 233 and 237 East Colfax Avenue is
appropriate for the development of the community in that area;
and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of

boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED
to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map
Adopted.
That the following -described parcel of real property in Salt
Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential "R-6" is hereby
rezoned Commercial "C-1" and the Use District Map is amended
accordingly:
Beginning at a point North 89° 57' 31" East along the
lot line 170.00 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 4,
Block 19, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, and running
thence North 89° 57' 31" East along the North line of
said Lot 4, 160.00 feet to the Northeast corner of said
Lot 4; thence South 0° 02' 06" East along the East line
of said Lot 4, 123.75 feet; thence South 89° 57' 31" West
121.00 feet; thence North 0° 02' 06" West 17.00 feet;
thence South 89° 57' 31" West 39.00 feet; thence North
0° 02' 06" West 106.75 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon the date of its being first published and
shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
