033 of 1986 - Amendment related to Zoning and Fixing of Boundaries of Use Disticts C 0 86-1 85-242 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE .t U No . 33 of 1986 (Rezoning area between 700 and 1000 East from South Temple to 600 South from "R-6" and "B-3 " to "R-5") AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, in response to the request pertaining to zoning in the area between 700 and 1000 East from South Temple to 600 South initiated by Robert Garner and Michael Error, said petition being known as Petition No. 400- 251 of 1985, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the master plan as part of its own deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that among the proposed changes for the area between 700 and 1000 East from South Temple to 600 South Streets, it is appropriate to change the existing Residential "R-6" and several "B-3" corners to a Residential "R-5" zoning classification for the development of the community in that area; THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of Title 51. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: BY U SECTION 1. That the use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-2, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is AMENDED as follows : Sec . 51-12-2 . Boundaries of Use Districts . That the following-described fourteen (14 ) parcels of real property in Salt Lake City, Utah, presently zoned Residential "R-6" and "B-3" , located in the area between 700 and 1000 East from South Temple to 600 South Streets are hereby rezoned to a Residential "R-5" classification, and the Use District Map is amended accordingly.
