Pursuant to Petition No. 400-93-7)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-93-7.
WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning petition initiated by
Mountain Fuel Supply Company, No. 400-93-7, the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings before its own body
and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into
consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details
of the area and the Master Plan as part of its deliberation.
Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that
the proposed change of zoning for the property located along 1100
West near Euclid Avenue is appropriate for the development of the
community in that area; and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED
to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map
Adopted.
That the following -described parcels of real property in
Salt Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential "R-5" are hereby
rezoned Commercial "C-3A" and the Use District Map is amended
accordingly:
Commencing at the northwest corner of Lot 18, Block 1

Kelsey Gillespie Subdivision of Block 44 Salt Lake City
Survey Plat C; thence west 64 feet more or less to the
middle line of 1100 West Street; thence south 390 feet
along the middle line of 1100 West Street; thence east 64
feet more or less to the northwest corner of Lot 17,
Block 1 of the same subdivision; thence north 390 feet to
the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. CONDITION. This ordinance shall not become

effective until the Mayor has certified that a plat showing the
dedication of a Euclid Avenue cul-de-sac and alley portion has
been approved as recommended by the Planning Commission.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon the date of its being first published and
recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder. Thd City Recorder
is instructed to not record or publish this ordinance until the
Mayor has certified that the condition specified in Section 2

met within one year from the date of this ordinance the Mayor may
extend the time for performance by an additional year. If the
condition has not been met within the time permitted by this
ordinance the City Recorder is instructed to not record or
