No. 35 of 1984
(Alley Vacation)
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PUBLIC ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE
SEVENTH SOUTH SUBDIVISION, SAID ALLEY BEING A TEN FOOT ALLEY
WHICH RUNS EAST AND WEST BETWEEN POST STREET AND 1000 WEST,
PARALLEL TO 700 AND 800 SOUTH STREETS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing, that the City's interest in the alley
described below which was platted within the Seventh South
Subdivision- is no longer necessary for use as a public way and
that the vacation of said alley described below will not be
adverse to the interests of the general public.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . ALLEY VACATION. An alley located within the
Seventh South Subdivision, running east and west between Post
Street and 1000 West, parallel to 700 and 800 South Streets,
which is the subject of Petition No. 400-115 of 1983 submitted by

Alice Moorehouse, and more particularly described below be, and

the same hereby is VACATED and declared no longer to be needed or � •
available for use as a public alley or public way:

Beginning at the southeast corner of Lot 50, Block �
5, Seventh South Subdivision of Block 9, Plat "C" ,
Salt Lake City Survey, and running thence south CA
10 .0 feet to the northeast corner of Lot 45;
thence west 135 . 0 feet more or less to the
northwest corner of Lot 45; thence southwesterly

15.81 feet more or less to the northeast corner of
Lot 21; thence north 15. 0 feet to the southeast
corner of Lot 27; thence east 150.0 feet more or
less to the point of beginning.
RESERVATIONS. Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO
all existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on, in, under or over
the confines of the above-described property; and ALSO SUBJECT TO
the rights of entry thereon for the purpose of obtaining ,
altering, replacing, removing, repairing or rerouting said
utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the day of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 22nd day of May , 1984 .
