Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Section 17.16.680 of the Salt Lake City Code is hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows for the effective dates July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998; July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999; July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000; July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001; and July 1, 2001 and thereafter until further amended, as indicated: 17.16.680 Meter rates. [Effective July 1, 1997 through June 30, 1998] The rates for water supplied through meters to all places, after the minimum charges for the first five hundred cubic feet 3 of water specified in Section 17.16.670, or its successor, will be as follows: A. Inside the corporate limits of the city, forty-four cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and sixty-eight cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. B. Outside the corporate limits of the city, sixty-six cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and one dollar and two cents per hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. C. Rate payers which are granted an abatement for taxes on their dwelling under Section 59-2-1106 through 1108, Utah Code Annotated, or successor provisions, shall be granted a two dollars and ninety-five cent abatement of the minimum monthly charge under Section 17.16.670 hereof or its successor. [Effective July 1, 1998 through June 30, 1999] The rates for water supplied through meters to all places, after the minimum charges for the first five hundred cubic feet 4 of water specified in Section 17.16.670, or its successor, will be as follows: A. Inside the corporate limits of the city, forty-seven cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and seventy-two cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. B. Outside the corporate limits of the city, seventy cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and one dollar and eight cents per hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. C. Rate payers which are granted an abatement for taxes on their dwelling under Section 59-2-1106 through 1108, Utah Code Annotated, or successor provisions, shall be granted a three dollars and sixteen cent abatement of the minimum monthly charge under Section 17.16.670 hereof or its successor. [Effective July 1, 1999 through June 30, 2000] The rates for water supplied through meters to all places, after the minimum charges for the first five hundred cubic feet 5 of water specified in Section 17.16.670, or its successor, will be as follows: A. Inside the corporate limits of the city, fifty cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and seventy- seven cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. B. Outside the corporate limits of the city, seventy-five cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and one dollar and fifteen cents per hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. C. Rate payers which are granted an abatement for taxes on their dwelling under Section 59-2-1106 through 1108, Utah Code Annotated, or successor provisions, shall be granted a three dollars and thirty cent abatement of the minimum monthly charge under Section 17.16.670 hereof or its successor. [Effective July 1, 2000 through June 30, 2001] The rates for water supplied through meters to all places, after the minimum charges for the first five hundred cubic feet 6 of water specified in Section 17.16.670, or its successor, will be as follows: A. Inside the corporate limits of the city, fifty-three cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and eighty-two cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. B. Outside the corporate limits of the city, eighty cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and one dollar and twenty-three cents per hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. C. Rate payers which are granted an abatement for taxes on their dwelling under Section 59-2-1106 through 1108, Utah Code Annotated, or successor provisions, shall be granted a three dollars and fifty-three cent abatement of the minimum monthly charge under Section 17.16.670 hereof or its successor. [Effective July 1, 2001] The rates for water supplied through meters to all places, after the minimum charges for the first five hundred cubic feet 7 of water specified in Section 17.16.670, or its successor, will be as follows: A. Inside the corporate limits of the city, fifty-seven cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and eighty-eight cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. B. Outside the corporate limits of the city, eighty-six cents per one hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of October through May, and one dollar and thirty-two cents per hundred cubic feet of water served through each service connection during the months of June through September. C. Rate payers which are granted an abatement for taxes on their dwelling under Section 59-2-1106 through 1108, Utah Code Annotated, or successor provisions, shall be granted a three dollars and seventy-eight cent abatement of the minimum monthly charge under Section 17.16.670 hereof or its successor.
