004 of 2015 - Yalecrest - Upper Harvard & Yale Park Plat A Local Historic District 0 15-1 P 15-5 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 4 of 2015 (Amending the Zoning Map to establish the Yalecrest-Upper I larvard&Yale Park Plat A Local historic District) An ordinance amending the Zoning Map to establish the Yalecrest-Upper I larvard& Yale Park Plat A Historic District pursuant to Petition No.PLNHLC2014-001 1 1. WI IEREAS,the Salt Lake City Historic Landmark Commission held a public hearing on September 4.2014 on an application submitted by Vena Childs("Applicant")to amend the City's zoning map(Petition No.PLNI ILC20 14-00 1 1 1)to apply the H Historic Preservation Overlay District to properties located on I larvard Avenue between 1500 East Street and 1700 East Street.along with properties located at 1 108 South 1700 East Street and 1 134 South 1700 East Street,which area shall be known as the Yalecrest-Upper Harvard&Yale Park Plat A Local I listoric District;and WHEREAS,at its September 4,2014 public hearing,the historic landmark commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Planning Commission and Salt Lake City Council on said application. WHEREAS,the planning commission held a public hearing on October 8,2014 on said application;and WHEREAS,at its October 8,2014 meeting,the planning commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the city council on said application;and WHEREAS,after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests. NOW,THEREFORE,be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah: SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map,as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code,relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts,shall be and hereby is amended to apply the H Historic Preservation Overlay District to all buildings, structures and real property within the boundaries described and depicted on Exhibit"A". The areas described and depicted on Exhibit"A"shall be known as the Yalecrest-Upper Harvard& Yale Park Plat A Local Historic District. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah,this 3rd day of February , 2015.
