SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 40 of 2019
(Amending the text of the Salt Lake City Code pertaining to building height in the FB-UN2 Form
Based Urban Neighborhood District)
An ordinance amending the text of the Salt Lake City Code, specifically Table
21A.27.050.0 FB-UN2 BUILDING FORM STANDARDS, item H Height, pertaining to an area
of land identified in proposed Figure 21A.27.050.C.1 herein, pursuant to Petition No.
PLNPCM2017-00590.
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on February
13, 2019 on an application submitted by James Alfandre, ("Applicant"), agent for the property
owners Urban 9th LLC, Alfandre Family Foundation Inc., and Gregg Chamberlain, to amend the
text of the Form Based Urban Neighborhood District pertaining to building height, specifically
Table 21A.27.050.0 FB-UN2 BUILDING FORM STANDARDS, item "H" Height, and to
include additional land area eligible for additional building height as described herein pursuant to
Petition No. PLNPCM2017-00590; and
WHEREAS, at its February 27, 2019 meeting, the planning commission voted in favor of
forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said application; and
WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that
adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Amending text of the Salt Lake City Code Table 21A.27.050.C.
That Table 21A.27.050.0 FB-UN2 Building Form Standards of the Salt Lake City Code,
shall be and hereby is amended to read and appear as follows:

SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date
of its first publication.
