049 of 1987 - Rezoning under Petition No. 400-277-85 0 87-1 P 85-239 T P 117,A SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE Ef : R;a No. 49 of 1987 (Rezoning certain property between 900 East and 1100 East between Hollywood Avenue and 2100 South from Commercial "C-3" to Residential"R-5" 7l pursuant to Petition No. 400-277-85) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS. WHEREAS, in response to Petition No. 400-277-85 submitted by the Sugar House Community Council and also Petition No. 400-344-85 submitted by Dan Miller, both concerning zoning of certain parcels in the Sugar House area, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filings and demographic details of the area as part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council has concluded that it is appropriate to rezone a portion of the subject property between 900 East and 1100 East in the center of the block between Hollywood Avenue and the rear of commercial properties fronting on 2100 South from Commercial "C-3" to Residential "R-5" for the development of the community in that area. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of Title 51. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah: SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-2,Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City,, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is AMENDED as follows: y Sec. 51-12-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the following-described property lying in Salt Lake City,Utah,presently zoned Commercial "C-3", lying between 900 East and 1100 East in the center of the block between Hollywood Avenue and the rear of commercial properties fronting on 2100 South, as more fully specified below, is hereby rezoned to a Residential "R-5" classification, and the Use District Map is amended accordingly. Commencing at the Southeast corner of Hollywood Avenue and 900 East Streets and running thence South along the East line of 900 East Street 125 feet, to the point of beginning; thence South along the East line of 900 East Street 234.7 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Perkins Boulevard Addition Subdivision, a subdivision of Five Acre Plat "A",Big Field Survey; thence East along the North line of Lot 1, and Lot 25 of said subdivision 330 feet to a point on the West line of Lincoln Street; thence East 66 feet to a point on the East line of Lincoln Street; thence East along the North line of Lot 25 Block 2 of said subdivision, 172 feet to the Southwest corner of Lot 12, Block 6, Evergreen Park Subdivision, a subdivision of Five Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey; thence 04 North 43.75 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot 12; thence y�L A East along the North line of said Lot 12 158 feet to the West line �I of 1000 East Street; thence East 66 feet to the East line of 1000 w East Street; thence South along the East line of 1000 East Street -12-gr 43.75 feet; thence East along the South line of Lots 12 and 13, Block 5, of said Evergreen Park Subdivision, 306 feet to the West line of McClelland Street; thence East 66 feet to the East line of McClelland Street; thence North along the East line of McClelland Street 52.75 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 9, Block 4, of said Evergreen Park Subdivision; thence East along the North line of said Lot 9 136.22 feet; thence East 12 feet; thence Northeasterly along the East line of a vacated alley to the Southeast corner of Lot 4, Block 4 of said subdivision; thence West along the North line of an alley (portions thereof vacated) 932.18 feet to a point along the East line of Lincoln Street; thence West 66 feet to the West line of Lincoln Street; thence West along a line parallel to and 125 feet South of the South line of Hollywood Avenue 330 feet to a point on the East line of 900 East Street, said point being the point of beginning.
