(Planning and Zoning Fee Schedule)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-34-1 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, RELATING TO PLANNING
AND ZONING FEE SCHEDULE.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 51-34-1 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City , Utah, relating to planning and zoning fee
schedule , be , and the same hereby is amended to read as follows :
Sec . 51-34-1 . Fee schedule. To reimburse the City for
planning services , reviews and inspections, and to defray the
City' s expenses involved with preparation, mailing and publica-
tion of notices , etc . , fees are hereby imposed on the following
activities which shall be charged by the City as specified in
these ordinances and collected by the City Treasurer :
( 1 ) Application to the board of adjustment (Section 51-3-4 ) .
( a ) Request for variance ' $50. 00
( b) Additions to nonconforming
single family dwelling 30.00
( c) Applications involving special
exceptions or conditional uses :
( 1 ) Parking lots in residential
districts 100.00
( 2 ) Group homes 100. 00
(3 ) Private recreational
facilities 100. 00
( 4 ) Public utilities in
residential districts 100.00
( 5 ) Planned unit develop-
ment
Basic fee 200. 00
Additional per unit cost 1-10 units 25.00
Additional per unit cost for each
unit in excess of 10 10.00
( 6 ) Mobile home parks 200. 00
(7 ) Office in buildings on
City , State or National
registry 300.00
( 8 ) Fence Heights 50. 00
(9 ) Other conditional uses 100. 00
(2 ) Applications to the Planning Commission

$100; subdivisions containing more than
10 lots shall be charged the following
fees:
( 1 ) 11-2 5 lots basic fee, together with
$10. 00 per lot fee for each lot in
excess of 10.
( 2 ) 26-50 lots basic fee, fees specified
in ( i) , together with $5. 00 per lot
in excess of 25 .
( 3 ) 51 lots or more basic fee, fees
specified in ( i) and ( ii) , together
with $2 . 00 per lot in excess of 50.
( b) Final approval
Plat check fee against approved
preliminary plat 50.00
( 2 ) Subdivision located in Overlay Zones.
( a) Preliminary approval (based upon number
of proposed lots in original or approved
preliminary plat, whichever is higher) .
Basic fee which includes up to 10 lots,
$400; subdivision containing more than 10
lots shall be charged the following fees:

(1 ) 11-2 5 lots, basic fee, together with
$2 5. 00 per lot for each lot in
excess of 10.
( 2 ) 26-50 lots, basic fee, together with
fee in ( i) and $2 0. 00 per lot in
excess of 25 .
( 3 ) 51 lots or more, the basic fee ,
together with fees in ( i) and ( ii)
above and $15. 00 for each lot in
excess of 50.
( b) Final approval
Plat check fee against approved
preliminary plat 100.00
( e) Site development permit. (Section 47-5-6. ) Review
for permit is not included in subdivision approval
nor is it a part of a building permit application.
Base fee for each acre or
part thereof 100. 00
Additional fee for each acre or

( f) Condominium projects . (Section 51-33-4 ) . Based
upon number of units proposed in preliminary plat
map.

SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication .
