SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 55 of 1984
(Extending effective date of Bill 60 of 198� )
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF BILL NO. 60 OF 1983
RELATING TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE BY EXTENDING THE SAFE TO NOVEMBER
6 , 1984.
WHEREAS , in Bill No. 60 of 1983 , the City approved the
closure of a certain portion of 200 North Street between 400 and
500 West in Salt Lake City , as requested by the Union Pacific
Railroad in Petition No . 313 of 1982, subject to certain
conditions subsequent; and
WHEREAS, it is reasonable and appropriate to extend the
expiration date in which the conditions must be completed by two
months to ensure satisfactory completion.
THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake
City , Utah:
SECTION 1 . That Section 3 of Bill No. 60 of 1983 relating
to the effective date of the ordinance be amended to read as
follows :

Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance, after the date
of its first publication, shall not become effective until

recorded with the Recorder of Salt Lake County. However, the
Salt Lake City Recorder is instructed not to record this C)
Ordinance until the Mayor verifies that the conditions subsequent
have been satisfied or provided for by executed agreement. Upon

verification and satisfaction, the Mayor may transfer the
property to the petitioner and instruct the Recorder to record
the ordinance concurrently with the transfer documents. However,
if the foregoing conditions are not completed by November 6,
1984 , this Ordinance shall be null, void and of no effect and no
recording thereafter shall be allowed.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City , Utah,
this 4th day of September , 1984.
