059 of 1991 - Entering Through Streets or Stop IntersectionsSALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 59 of 1991 (Entering through streets or stop intersections) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 12.44.210, SUBSECTION A, OF THE SALT LAKE CITY CODE, 1988, AS AMENDED, RELATING TO ENTERING THROUGH STREETS OR STOP INTERSECTIONS. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section 12.44.210, subsection A, of the Salt Lake City Code, 1988, as amended, relating to entering through streets or stop intersections be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: 12.44.210 Entering through streets or stop intersections. A. Except as specified in subsection B, when more than one vehicle enters or approaches an unregulated or an all -way stop intersection from different highways at approximately the same time, the operator of the vehicle on the left shall yield the right-of-way to the vehicle on the right, unless otherwise directed by a peace officer. An intersection that is unregulated because the traffic control signal is inoperative shall be deemed to be an all - way stop intersection. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the date of its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 16th day of July , 1991.
