(Rezoning property located at 600 West and No. Temple
pursuant to Petition No. 400-92-83
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-92-83.
WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning petition initiated by
Apco Pallets, No. 400-92-83 the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the
Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen
testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the
Master Plan as part of its deliberation. Pursuant to these
deliberations, the Council has concluded that the proposed change
of zoning for the property located at 600 West and North Temple
is appropriate for the development of the community in that area;
and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby
adopts the following Amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED
to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map
Adopted. That the following -described parcel of real property in
Salt Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential "R-6" is hereby
rezoned Commercial "C-1" and/or "C-3" and the Use District Map is
amended accordingly
To be rezoned C-3 from R-6: COMMENCING at the
southeast corner of Lot 3 Block 99 Salt Lake City
Survey Plat A; thence west 236 feet; thence north 165
feet; thence east 236 feet to the northeast corner of
Lot 3 Block 99 Salt Lake City Survey Plat A; thence
south 165 feet to the point of beginning.
To be rezoned C-1 from R-6: COMMENCING at the
northwest corner of Lot 3 Block 99 Salt Lake City
Survey Plat A; thence east 94 feet; thence south 95
feet; thence west 94 feet; thence north 95 feet to the
point of beginning.
SECTION 2. CONDITIONS. This rezoning is conditioned upon
the petitioner submitting plans and application for a building
permit in compliance with the conditions recommended by the
Planning Commission.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become
effective on the date of its first publication.
The City Recorder is instructed not to publish or record
this ordinance until the Mayor has certified that the conditions
specified in Section 2_above have been met. In the event that
the condition has not'been met within one year from the date of
this ordinance the Mayor may extend the period for an additional
year. In the event that the condition has not been satisfied
within the first year or any such extension, this ordinance shall
be null and void and the City Recorder is instructed to not then
publish or record it.
