WHEREAS, in response to the rezoning petition initiated by WATTS CORPORATION, No. 400-92-17, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of its deliberation. Purse :ant to these deliberations, the Courcil has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the propercj located below Block U is appropriate for the development of the community in that area; and THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of Title 21. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake Cityj Utah: SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED to read as follows: Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map Adopted. That the following -described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City, Utah presently zoned Residential "R-1, F-1" is hereby rezoned Residential "R-lA, F-1" and the Use District Map is amended accordingly: See Exhibit "A" attached and incorporated by reference. SECTION 2. CONDITIONS. This rezoning is subject to the following conditions and shall not become effective until all of the conditions are met: 1. Approval of a final plat for the Federal Pointe Planned Unit Development allowing only single family detached residential dwellings; and 2. Final approval from the United States Department of the Interior and/or any other United States Government department necessary to allow construction of the public street through Popperton Park. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake is instructed to not record County Recorder.
