065 of 2016 - Closing and vacating a portion of an unnamed, city owned alley situated between Roberta Street and 3 0 16-1 P 16-28 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 65 of 2016 (Closing and vacating a portion of an unnamed, city owned alley situated between Roberta Street and 300 East Street) An ordinance closing and vacating a portion of an unnamed, city owned alley situated between Roberta Street and 300 East Street adjacent to the rear lot lines of parcels located at 1071 South Roberta Street and 1070 South 300 East Street pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2016-00096. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on April 27, 2016 on an application submitted by the Salt Lake City School District ("Applicant") to close and vacate a portion of unnamed, city owned alley situated between Roberta Street and 300 East Street, which portion to be vacated is adjacent to the rear lot lines of parcels located at 1071 South Roberta Street and 1070 South 300 East Street, pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2016- 00096 as part of improvements to the Lincoln Elementary School; and WHEREAS, at its April 27, 2016 meeting, the planning commission voted in favor of forwarding a positive recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said application; and WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Closing and Vacating City-Owned, Unnamed Alleys. That the city- owned, unnamed alley shown on Exhibit"A", which is the subject of Petition No. PLNPCM2016-00096, is hereby closed and vacated and declared not presently necessary or available for public use. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This Ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
