AN ORDINANCE VACATING THE UNVACATED PORTION OF GERTIE AND
IRVING STREETS IN THE VICINITY OF REDWOOD ROAD AND NORTH TEMPLE,
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, upon the

review of Petition No. 4 of 1982, finds that the City's
defeasible fee interest in Irving and Gertie Streets, described
below, were formally platted as part of Bunnell's Subdivision on
1 or about 1892, are no longer necessary for use as public
thoroughfares and that the vacation of the alley described below
will not be adverse to the general public's interest; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City also finds that

the proposed vacation will allow abutting property owners to make
r improvements upon the land to avoid certain drainage and flooding
problems which have been created by construction in the vicinity;
and
WHEREAS, as an additional part of the consideration of this
action, the abutting property owners and parties of interest have
released the City from any and all claims for liability
I associated with flood damage and have agreed to undertake the
necessary response to take corrective action.
NOW, THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:

ing, removing, repairing or rerouting said utilities and all of
them.
B. Said vacation is also subject to any existing rights-of-
