SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 66 of 1996
(Amending Section 17.12.030 of the Salt Lake City Code,
relating to the appointment of directors to the board of directors
of The Metropolitan Water District of Salt Lake City)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 17.12.030, SALT LAKE CITY CODE,
PROVIDING FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT OF SALT LAKE CITY IN A MANNER
CONSISTENT WITH STATE LAW.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City. Utah:
SECTION 1. Section 17.12.030 of the Salt Lake City Code is hereby amended in its
entirety to read as follows:
17.12.030. Board of directors --Appointment.
One of the directors shall be an ex officio director who shall be the director of public
utilities of Salt Lake City. The other four Salt Lake City directors shall be appointed in a manner
consistent with state law.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication.
