AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT 5B
TO THE MASTER ANNEXATION POLICY DECLARATIONS; EXTENDING THE
LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY TO INCLUDE THE "KROH ANNEX"; ZONING THE
SAME COMMERCIAL "C-3A" BY AMENDING THE USE DISTRICT MAP AS
ADOPTED BY SECTION 51-12-1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Findings. The City finds that the requirements for annexation
specified by Sections 10-2-401, et seq., Utah Code Annotated, 1953, have been complied
with in all regards including the filing of a petition for annexation signed by a majority of
the owners of the real property and the owners of more than one-third in value of all the
real property as shown by the.last assessment rolls situated in the tract to be annexed.

Further, the City finds that petitioners have- caused an accurate map to be made and CP

certified by a competent surveyor and approved by the City Engineer which has been 00
filed with the City Recorder. The annexation is in compliance with the City's master

annexation policy declaration and was favorably reviewed by the various departments of
the City and the Planning Commission in compliance with law. All required public
hearings were properly held and advertised and the time for written objection to the
annexation elapsed without adverse comment.
SECTION 2. Area. The city limits of Salt Lake City are enlarged and extended
to include the irregularly shaped tract of land contiguous to Salt Lake City's southern
boundary between the Brickyard Shopping Center and 3300 South in Salt Lake County,
Utah:
Beginning at a point on the north right-of-way line of 3300 South Street,
said point being the southeast corner of Lot 2, Block 27, Ten Acre Plat
"A", Big Field Survey and running thence south 89° 47' 10" west along
said north right-of-way line 296.47 feet; thence north 0° 12' 50" west
53.70 feet to the Salt Lake City limit line; thence north 55° 59' 58" east
along said city limit line 16.45 feet; thence north 33° 00' 02" west along
said city limit line 80.27 feet; thence north 89° 47'10" east along said city
limit line 261.09 feet; thence north 0° 08' 51" east along said city limit line
107.25 feet; thence north 89° 47' 10" east along said city limit line 71.19
feet; thence south 0° 08' 51" west 237.58 feet to the north right-of-way
line of 3300 South Street; thence south 89° 47' 10" west along said north
right-of-way line 5.19 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. Zoning. The tract above-described in Section 2 is zoned
Commercial "C-3A". The revised Use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-1, is
amended by the addition of the tract of land described in Section 2, zoned Commercial
'IC-3A".
SECTION 4. City Council Map. The Salt Lake City Council Map is amended
to include the tract of land specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance in Council District 7.
SECTION 5. General Jurisdiction. The tract of land described in Section 2
shall henceforth be within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City Corporation. All
ordinances, jurisdictions, rules, and obligations of or pertaining to Salt Lake City are
extended over and made applicable and pertinent to this tract of land; and the streets,

blocks, alleys, and public ways of said tract shall be controlled and governed by the

ordinances, rules and regulations of Salt Lake City in that behalf. The monuments of the 0
City Engineer shall henceforth be taken therein as the standards of location and distances

SECTION 6. Filings and Notices. Upon the passage and publication of this
Ordinance, the Recorder of Salt Lake City is directed to file with the County Recorder of
Salt Lake City a copy of the map or plat of the annexation, duly certified and
acknowledged, together with a certified copy of this Ordinance. The City Recorder is
further directed to provide notice to the Utah State Tax Commission as required by
Section 11-12-1,Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended.

SECTION 7. Publication and Effect. This Ordinance shall take effect upon the
date of its first publication, which shall not occur until the annexation plat, or map, has
been properly submitted, approved and signed by the Mayor.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 3rd day
of February 1987.
