071 of 1997 - Closing an alley located between0 97-1 P 97-34 Affected Sidwell Nos.: 15-12-478-001 through 15-12-478-018 15-12-479-001 15-12-479-008 15-12-479-009 15-12-479-018 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 71 OF 1997 (Closing an alley located between 1300 South and Paxton Avenue and between Richards Street and West Temple, pursuant to Petition No. 400-94-29) AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AN ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN 1300 SOUTH AND PAXTON AVENUE AND BETWEEN RICHARDS STREET AND WEST TEMPLE, PURSUANT TO PETITION 400-94-29. WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah finds after public hearing that the City's interest in the alley described below is not necessary for use by the public as an alley and that closure of said alley will not be adverse to the general public's interest. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the alley located between 1300 South and Paxton Avenue and between Richards Street and West Temple, which is the subject to Petition No. 400-94-29, and which is more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby is, closed and declared no longer to be needed or available for use as an alley. Beginning 8; thence of Lot 2, Northeast 16.5 feet 6; thence beginning. at the Southwest corner of Lot 1, Block West 16.5 feet to the Southeast corner Block 8; thence North 541.2 feet to the corner of Lot 11, Block 6; thence East to the Northwest corner of Lot 12, Block South 541.2 feet to the point of SECTION 2. RESERVATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS. The above closure is expressly made SUBJECT TO all City water, sewer and storm sewer rights -of -way and easements, and rights -of - way and easements of all public utilities of any and every kind now located on, under or over the confines of the property, and also SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon by the City and all public utilities for the purpose of maintaining, altering, repairing, removing or rerouting said facilities. Said closure is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights -of -way or easements of private third parties. SECTION 3. TITLE. Title to the property shall remain with the City. SECTION 4. EFFECTIVE DATE.
