(Vacating a portion of and closing another
portion of an alley pursuant to Petition No. 400-96-32)
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION AND CLOSING ANOTHER
PORTION OF AN ALLEY, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-96-32.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
finds after public hearing that the City's interest in a
portion of an alley, located between 1300 East and View
Street, and between Westminster Avenue and 2100 South,
described below, is not necessary for use by the public as
an alley and that vacation and closure of portions of said
alley will not be adverse to the general public's interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City. Utah:
SECTION 1. That a portion of that certain alley, which
is the subject of Petition No. 400-96-32 and which is more
particularly described below, be, and the same hereby is,

southeast corner of Lot 10; thence east 7.75 feet
to the centerline of the alley running
north/south; thence north 59 feet along the
centerline of said alley; thence east 7.75 feet to
the southwest corner of Lot 3; thence north 84
feet to the northwest corner of Lot 5; thence west
15.5 feet to the point of beginning.
SECTION 3. RESERVATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS. The above
vacation and closure is expressly made SUBJECT TO all
existing rights -of -way and easements of all public utilities
of any and every description now located on and under or
over the confines of the property and also SUBJECT TO the
rights of entry thereon for the purposes of maintaining,
altering, repairing, removing or rerouting said utilities,
including the City's water and sewer facilities, and all of
them. Said vacation is also SUBJECT TO any existing rights -
of -way or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall
become effective on the date of its first publication and
shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
