Salt Lake City, Utah, pursuant to
Petition No. 400-199 of 1984 )
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING TWO UNIMPROVED STREETS AT 600 SOUTH AND
700 WEST IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, AND REQUIRING CERTAIN
CONDITIONS.
The City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds after public
hearing that the City's interest in the public streets described
below are no longer necessary for use by the public as streets
and that closure of said streets with the reservation of certain
easements will not be adverse to the _general public ' s interest
nor will it relinquish or terminate the City's interest in the
underlying property without separate documents of transfer.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That that public streets which are the subject
of Petition No. 400-199, which are more particlarly described
below, be, and the same hereby are CLOSED and declared no longer
to be needed or available for use as a public right of way; and
the title to the City' s interest thereon shall be reserved and
retained by Salt Lake City Corporation, until conveyed pursuant
to separate documents of transfer upon satisfaction of the
conditions set forth in Section 2.
Parcel 1 :
Beginning at a point which is N. 88° 15 '04" W.
131.031 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 5
Block 13 Plat "C" Salt Lake City Survey and
running thence North N. 0°39 '07" E. 131.800 feet
more or less to the Southeast corner of Block 23; G� r;
thence west 129.490 feet more or less to the N/A
line of Interstate I-15; thence S. 20*58152" E.
along said N/A line 141 . 149 more or less to the
South right-of-way line of 600 South Street;
thence east 77.450 feet along said right-way line
more or less to the point of beginning .
Parcel 2:
Beginning at a point which is N. 88* 15104" W.
131.031 feet from the Northwest corner of Lot 5
Block 13 Plat "C" Salt Lake City Survey and
running thence S. 88* 15104" E. 65.541 feet more or
less along the South right-of-way line of 600
South Street; thence S. 0°00 '55" E. 318.960 feet
more or less to a point on the N/A line of
Interstate I-15; thence west 19. 772 feet more or
less along said N/A line; thence N. 21*02139" W.
127.461 feet more or less along said N/A line;
thence N. 0*00155" W. 202. 000 feet more or less to
the point of beginning.
DISCLAIMER. Said closure is expressly made subject to all
existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities of
any and every description now located on and under or over the
confines of the above described property and also subject to the
rights of entry thereon for the purposes of maintaining , alter-
ing, repairing, removing or rerouting said utilities, including
the City' s water and sewer facilities, and all of them. Said
closure is subject to any existing rights of way or easements of
private third parties.
SECTION 2. CONDITIONS SUBSEQUENT. This Ordinance, after
passage, shall be published but shall not become effective until

Petitioner:
1. Pays to the City the fair market value of the above-
described parcel of real property together with the cost of
appraising the same;
2. Relocate, at petitioner's expense, that fire hydrant
located on 600 South to a location approved by the City Fire
Marshall:
3. Place "end of road" closure barriers, at petitioner' s
expense, of a type and in a location approved by the City
Transportation Engineer; and
4 . Clean, grade and service the streets together with the
surrounding properties which are owned by the transportation
department pursuant to a permit issued by the City.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance, after the date
of its first publication, shall not become effective until
recorded with the Recorder of Salt Lake County. However, the
Recorder of Salt Lake City is instructed not to record this
Ordinance until the Petitioner advises the City Recorder, in
writing , that the conditions subsequent have been completed and
the Mayor verifies such completion or that they have been
provided for by executed agreement. Upon verification or
satisfaction, the Mayor may instruct that the Ordinance be
recorded. However, if the foregoing conditions are not completed
within twelve ( 12 ) months from the effective date of the passage,
this nrdiance shall be null, void and of no effect, and no

recording thereafter shall be allowed .
