078 of 2011 - Amending Elected Officials compensation plan 0 11-1 0 11-10 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 78 of 2011 (Approving an Amendment for Elected Officials to the Compensation Plan for all non-represented employees of Salt Lake City) An ordinance approving an amendment related to elected officials to the compensation plan for all non-represented employees of Salt Lake City. WHEREAS, changes were made to Utah Code Title 49,the Utah Sate Retirement and Insurance Benefit Act,regarding elected officials initially entering office on or after July 1, 2011; and WHEREAS, elected officials will initially enter office in January 2012 and they will participate in the Tier II defined contribution plan established by Chapter 22, Part 4 of the Utah Code; WHEREAS, the following amendment to the Compensation Plan offers a similar benefit to elected officials initially entering office before July 1, 2011; Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. PURPOSE. The purpose of this Ordinance is to approve the attached Amended Compensation Plan for all non-represented Salt Lake City employees. Three copies of said Amended Compensation Plan shall be maintained in the City Recorder's Office for public inspection. SECTION 2. APPLICATION. The Amended Compensation Plan shall not apply to employees whose employment terminated prior to the effective date of this Ordinance. SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.
