AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 21.14.020 OF THE SALT LAKE
CITY CODE RELATING TO ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE
DISTRICTS PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-94-20.
WHEREAS, in response to rezoning petition No. 400-94-20, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held public hearings
before its own body and before the Planning Commission, and has
taken into consideration citizen testimony, filing and
demographic details of the area and the Master Plan as part of
its deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council
has concluded that the proposed change of zoning for the property
located at 2670 South Highland Drive is appropriate for the
development of the community in that area; and
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah hereby
adopts the following amendments to the Use District provisions of
Title 21.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
21.14.020 of the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of
boundaries of Use Districts, be, and the same hereby is, AMENDED
to read as follows:
Sec. 21.14.020. Boundaries of Districts --Use District Map
Adopted.
That the following -described parcels of real property in
Salt Lake City, Utah, presently zoned Residential "R-5", be
hereby rezoned Residential "R-2A", "R-2" and Business "B-3", and
the Use District Map is amended accordingly:
Area A. R-5 to R-2A
Commencing at a point along the west line of Highland Drive, said
point being 124.9 feet southeasterly of the southwest corner of
Crystal Avenue and Highland Drive and running thence south along
the west line of Highland Drive 128.3 feet; thence west 123.0
feet; thence southeasterly 169.8-feet; thence east 12 feet more
or less to the northeast corner of Lot 16, Highland Park Plat "D"
Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 46, 10 Acre Plat A, Big Field
-Survey; thence south 30.0 feet; thence west 98 feet more or less;
thence south 166.7 feet to the southwest corner of Lot 4, of said
subdivision; thence west along the north line of 2700 South
Street 194.8 feet; thence northeasterly 246.3 feet; thence
northwesterly 273 feet more or less along the east line of the
Salt Lake & Jor`dan Canal to the southwest corner of Lot 14, Block
1, Highland Park Plat "B" Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 46,
10 Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey; thence east 448.0 feet to the
point of beginning.
Area B. R-5 to R-2 ~

Commencing at a point being the southeast corner of Block 2 of
Rockwood Subdivison, a subdivision of Block 46, 10 Acre Plat A,
Big Field Survey; and running thence along the east line of Block
2 of said subdivision northeasterly 198.0 feet; thence east 33.1
feet; thence southwesterly 198.0 feet; thence west along the
north line of 2700 South Street 33.1 feet to the point of
beginning.
Area C. R-5 to B-3
Commencing at a point along the west line of Highland Drive, said
point being 253.3 feet southeasterly of the southwest corner of
Crystal Avenue and Highland Drive and running thence west 123.0
feet; thence southeasterly 169.8 feet; thence east 12 feet more
or less to the northeast corner of Lot 16 of Highland Park Plat
"D" Subdivision, a subdivision of Block 46, 10 Acre Plat A, Big
Field Survey; thence south 30.0 feet; thence east 41 feet more or
less to the west line of Lot 19 of said subdivision; thence
northwesterly 119 feet more or'less along the west line of Lot 19

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take
