008 of 1984 - Solicitation, Peddling, Etc. 0 83-9 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. g of. 1984 (Solicitation, Peddling, Etc. ) AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTIONS 20-17-33 (e) ( 2 ) ( 5) AND 20- 17-33 (q) OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, RELATING TO SOLICITATION, PEDDLING, ETC. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1 . That Subsection 20-17-33(e) ( 2) (5) of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, be, and the same hereby is AMENDED to read as follows: Sec. 20-17-33 (e) ( 2) ( 5) Religious or charitable organiza- tions as defined herein. SECTION 2. That Subsection 20-17-33 (a) of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, be, and the same hereby is AMENDED to read as .follows : Sec. 20-17-33(g) . "Religious or charitable oraanizati.ons" means any organization which can provide written approval from the Internal Revenue Service that the organization has been granted tax exempt status under Section 501 (c) ( 3) of the Internal Revenue Code. SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 14th day of February , 1984.
