No. 80 of 1997
(Rezoning property located at
approximately 718 North 5600 West from
Agricultural to Light Manufacturing,
pursuant to Petition No. 400-97-13.)
AN ORDINANCE REZONING PROPERTY LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY
718 NORTH 5600 WEST FROM AGRICULTURAL (AG) TO LIGHT
MANUFACTURING (M-1), PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-97-13.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has
held public hearings before its own body and before the
Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration
citizen testimony, filing and demographic details of the
area, the long range general plans of the City, and any
local master plan as part of its deliberations. Pursuant to
these deliberations, the City Council has concluded that the
proposed change of zoning for the property located at
approximately 718 North 5600 West is appropriate for the
development of the community in that area, subject to the
conditions set forth herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the property located at approximately
718 North 5600 West, which is more particularly described
below, shall be and hereby is rezoned from Agricultural (AG)
to Light Manufacturing (M-1). This real property is more
particularly described as follows:
BEGINNING at a point South 89°58'00" West
282.38 feet along the section line from the
South Quarter corner of Section 25, Township 1
North, Range 2 West, Salt Lake Base and
Meridian, and running thence South 89°58'00"
West 2357.56 feet along said section line to
the Southwest corner of said Section 25; thence
South 89°58'30" West 730.17 feet along the
section line to an existing fence line; thence
North 00°06'15" East 1284.23 feet along said
fence; thence North 89°58'11" East 3085.71
feet; thence South 00°00'51" West 1284.17 feet
to the point of beginning. Containing 91.003
acres, more or less.
SECTION 2. AMENDMENT OF ZONING MAP. The Salt Lake
City Zoning Map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code,
relating to the fixing of boundaries in zoning districts,
shall be, and hereby is amended consistent with the rezoning
identified above.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall
become effective on the date of its first publication and
shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County Recorder.
