080 of 2016 - Amending the zoning map pertaining to a parcel located at approximately 3120 South Richmond Street t 0 16-1 P 16-25 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. s0 of 2016 (Amending the zoning map pertaining to a parcel located at approximately 3120 South Richmond Street to rezone the parcel from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU-45 Residential/Mixed-Use District An ordinance amending the zoning map pertaining to a parcel located at approximately 3120 South Richmond Street to rezone the parcel from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU- 45 Residential/Mixed-Use District pursuant to Petition No.PLNPCM2016-00073. WHEREAS,the Salt Lake City Planning Commission held a public hearing on April 27, 2016 on applications submitted by the Allen Pour Sohrab Family Trust("Applicant")to amend the zoning map and Sugar House Master Plan for property located at approximately 3120 South Richmond Street(the"Property")from RO Residential/Office District to CB Community Business District or a zoning district with similar characteristics pursuant to Petition No. PLNPCM2016-00073;and WHEREAS,at its April 27,2016 meeting,the planning commission voted in favor of forwarding a negative recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council on said applications;and WHEREAS,notwithstanding the planning commission's recommendation,the city council has determined that the R-MU-45 Residential/Mixed-Use District,which zoning district has characteristics similar to the CB Community Business District,is an appropriate zoning designation for the Property;and WHEREAS,after a public hearing on this matter the city council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city's best interests. NOW,THEREFORE,be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,Utah: SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map,as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code,relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts,shall be and hereby is amended to reflect that the Property located at approximately 3120 South Richmond Street (Parcel ID number 16-29-426-016), and as more particularly described on Exhibit"A" attached hereto, shall be and hereby is rezoned from RO Residential/Office District to R-MU-45 Residential/Mixed-Use District. SECTION 2. Effective Date. This ordinance shall become effective on the date of its first publication. Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 13th day of December , 2016.
