AN ORDINANCE ADJUSTING THE BOUNDARIES OF SALT LAKE CITY
AND SOUTH SALT LAKE CITY BY DE -ANNEXING CERTAIN AREAS
LOCATED ALONG 500 EAST BETWEEN WARNOCK AVENUE AND 2700
SOUTH.
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City and South Salt Lake City have
agreed upon a boundary adjustment dealing with certain lands
located along 500 East between Warnock Avenue and 2700
South; and
WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Council finds that the
proposed boundary adjustment is in the best interest of Salt
Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the requirements of Utah Code Ann. § 10-2-419
have been met; and
WHEREAS, a public hearing has been held before the Salt
Lake City Council on this proposed boundary adjustment; and
WHEREAS, no written protest to the boundary adjustment
has been filed;

VOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. AREA. The tract of land more
particularly described below is hereby de -annexed from
the city limits of Salt Lake City and, subject to
passage of a similar ordinance by South Salt Lake City,
shall be thereafter annexed to South Salt Lake City and
subject to the jurisdiction and rules of South Salt
Lake City:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED HERETO
SECTION 2. NOTICE, PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
This ordinance shall take effect upon the date of its first
publication and shall be recorded with the Salt Lake County
Recorder. The City Recorder is instructed not to publish
this ordinance until the Salt Lake City Planning Director
has certified that South Salt Lake City has adopted a
counterpart ordinance necessary to complete this boundary
adjustment. Thereafter, a copy of the plat or map of this
boundary adjustment, together with certified copies of this
ordinance and the ordinance passed by South Salt Lake City,
shall be provided to the Salt Lake County Recorder. The
City Recorder is further directed to provide notice of this

boundary adjustment to the Utah State Tax Commission
pursuant to the provisions of Utah Code Ann. § 11-12-1.
