RESOLUTION NO. 12 OF 1987 AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION AND THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
WHEREAS, Title 11 , Chapter 13, Utah Code Ann. , 1953, as amended, allows
public entities to enter into grant agreements to provide joint undertakings
and services ; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to accomplish said
purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
1 . It does hereby approve the attached agreement generally described
as follows: A grant agreement between Salt Lake City Corporation and the
U.S. Department of Energy for a grant to Salt Lake City Corporation of
$45,000 to undertake a District Heating and Cooling Assessment Program for
the Central Business District.
2. Palmer DePaulis, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is hereby authorized
to execute said agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City Corporation and to act
in accordance with its terms.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 3rd day of
February, 1987.
