RESOLUTION NO. 140 OF 1989
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION
AND
SANDY CITY
WHEREAS, Title 11, Chapter 13, U.C.A., 1953, as amended,
allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to
provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to
accomplish said purposes;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
1. It does hereby approve the form and substance of the
attached agreement which is one of six (6) agreements necessary
for Sandy City's annexation into the Metropolitan Water District
of Salt Lake City. This one is entitled "Sandy and Salt Lake
City Interlocal Cooperation and Boundary Agreement." This
agreement fixes a water service and annexation boundary between
Sandy City and Salt Lake City.
2. Palmer A. DePaulis, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is
hereby authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of Salt
Lake City Corporation and to act in accordance with its terms,
subject to any minor changes which do not materially affect the
rights and obligations of the City Thereunder.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
