RESOLUTION NO. 91 OF 1982
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT
BETWEEN SALT LAKE CITY CORPORATION,
SALT LAKE CITY/COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT,
UTAH STATE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH;
UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION AGENCY, AND
AMOCO OIL COMPANY
WHEREAS, Title 11 , Chapter 13, U.C.A. , 1953, as amended,
allows public entities to enter into cooperative agreements to
provide joint undertakings and services; and
WHEREAS, the attached agreement has been prepared to
accomplish said purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council is desirous of approving said
agreement on the express understanding that the City is retaining
its rights of action against all parties to the agreement, should
the containment structure fail to contain the waste as required
by law;
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
1 . It does hereby approve the attached agreement generally
described as follows: Interlocal Cooperation Agreement for
corrective action in the Rose Park sludge disposal area.
2. Ted L. Wilson, Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, is hereby
authorized to execute said Agreement on behalf of Salt Lake City
Corporation and to act in accordance with its terms.
