RE: American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Local Business Direct Assistance Grant Awards
MOTION 1- ADOPT ORDINANCE APPROVING GRANT AWARDS
I move that the Council adopt an ordinance approving American Rescue Plan Act local business direct
assistance grant awards and contingency as shown in the Exhibit A Funding Log.
Staff note: For reference and as shown on the last page of Exhibit A, the Council Contingency states:
"Council Contingency in case Awards are Unable to be Fully Spent: If the unused funds are equal to or
greater than $50,000, then the Council will hold a follow up briefing to determine how to reallocate
the funds. If the unused funds are less than $50,000, then reallocate evenly to applications that (1)
received partial funding, (2) the program/project is scalable, and (3) the applicant confirms they are
able to spend the additional award."
MOTION 2 — NOT ADOPT
I move that the Council proceed to the next agenda item.
