RE: Requesting Admission of Emergency Medical Service Personnel to the Tier 2
Firefighters Retirement System
MOTION 1 — ADOPT RESOLUTION
I move that the Council adopt a resolution requesting that emergency medical service personnel
including paramedics and social workers be admitted to the Tier 2 Firefighter Utah Retirement System.
Staff note: this resolution relates to item A-1 in BudgetAmendment #3 which proposes four new
civilian single -role paramedic full-time employees in the Fire Department.
MOTION 2 — NOT ADOPT
I move that the Council proceed to the next agenda item.
