Proposed Ordinance - 4/2/20241 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. _____ of 2024 (Amending the zoning map pertaining to multiple parcels situated in the Ballpark Station Area Plan to rezone certain parcels from CC Commercial Corridor, CG General Commercial, CN Neighborhood Commercial, PL Public Lands, RB Residential Business, RMF-35 Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential, and R-MU Residential Mixed Use to MU-8 Form Based Mixed Use 8, FB-UN1 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 1, FB-UN2 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 2, and PL Public Lands) An ordinance amending the zoning map pertaining to multiple parcels in the boundaries of the Ballpark Station Area Plan as shown in Exhibit A, attached hereto, to rezone certain parcels from CC Commercial Corridor, CG General Commercial, CN Neighborhood Commercial, PL Public Lands, RB Residential Business, RMF-35 Moderate Density Multi- Family Residential, and R-MU Residential Mixed Use to, as applicable, MU-8 Form Based Mixed Use 8, FB-UN1 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 1, FB-UN2 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 2, and PL Public Lands pursuant to petition No. PLNPCM2023-00169. WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Planning Commission (“Planning Commission”) held a public hearing on October 25, 2023 on an application submitted by Mayor Erin Mendenhall to rezone certain parcels from CC Commercial Corridor, CG General Commercial, CN Neighborhood Commercial, PL Public Lands, RB Residential Business, RMF-35 Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential, and R-MU Residential Mixed Use to, as applicable, MU-8 Form Based Mixed Use 8, FB-UN1 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 1, FB-UN2 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 2, and PL Public Lands pursuant to petition No. PLNPCM2023-00169 and WHEREAS, at its October 25, 2023 meeting, the Planning Commission voted in favor of forwarding a recommendation to the Salt Lake City Council (“City Council”) on said petition; and 2 WHEREAS, after a public hearing on this matter the City Council has determined that adopting this ordinance is in the city’s best interests. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Amending the Zoning Map. The Salt Lake City zoning map, as adopted by the Salt Lake City Code, relating to the fixing of boundaries and zoning districts, shall be and hereby is amended to reflect that the properties identified on Exhibit “A” attached hereto shall be and hereby are rezoned from CC Commercial Corridor, CG General Commercial, CN Neighborhood Commercial, PL Public Lands, RB Residential Business, RMF-35 Moderate Density Multi-Family Residential, and R-MU Residential Mixed Use to, as applicable, MU-8 Form Based Mixed Use 8, FB-UN1 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 1, FB-UN2 Form Based Urban Neighborhood 2, and PL Public Lands. SECTION 3. Effective Date. This ordinance shall take effect immediately after it has been published in accordance with Utah Code Section 10-3-711 and recorded in accordance with Utah Code Section 10-3-713.
