HomeMy WebLinkAboutProposed Ordinance - 11/13/2025SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. of ____ 2025 (Amendments to the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule Related to Credit Card Surcharges for Certain Transactions in the Public Lands Department) An ordinance amending fees and fee information in the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule related to a surcharges on transactions involving the use of a credit card for certain transactions in the Public Lands Department. WHEREAS, on May 17, 2011, the City Council adopted Ordinances 2011-23, 2011-24 and 2011-25 to authorize and create the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule sets forth various fees charged by the city in connection with city services; and WHEREAS, the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule has since been amended from time to time; and WHEREAS, it is now proposed that the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee schedule be amended to include, eliminate, or otherwise modify fees and fee information regarding surcharges on certain transactions involving the use of a credit card as shown in the attached Exhibit “A”; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds (i) the fees set forth in Exhibit A are necessary, reasonable, and equitable in relation to regulatory and service costs incurred by the City; and (ii) adoption of this ordinance reasonably furthers the health, safety, and general welfare of the citizens of Salt Lake City. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule shall be, and hereby is, amended in pertinent part as set forth in the attached Exhibit “A”. SECTION 2. That a revised copy of the Salt Lake City Consolidated Fee Schedule that reflects the amendments set forth in the attached Exhibit “A” shall be published on the official Salt Lake City website. SECTION 3. That this ordinance shall become effective upon publication.
