(Authorizing Temporary Parking Lots at Approximately 825 North
Warm Springs Road and 1130 North Warm Springs Road Related
to a Large-Scale Special Event of National or International
Significance)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3.52.050.D OF THE SALT LAKE CITY
CODE, AUTHORIZING THE CONSTRUCTION OF TEMPORARY PARKING LOTS
LOCATED AT APPROXIMATELY 825 NORTH WARM SPRINGS ROAD AND 1130
NORTH WARM SPRINGS ROAD RELATED TO A LARGE-SCALE SPECIAL EVENT OF
NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL SIGNIFICANCE, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-
02-01.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 3.52.050.D.2 of the SALT LAKE CITY CODE, shall be, in the
same hereby is, enacted to read as follows:
11. A temporary parking lot without the required hard surfacing, curb controls,
and landscaping on property located at approximately 825 North Warm Springs
Road.
12. A temporary parking lot without the required hard surfacing, curb controls
and landscaping on property located at approximately 1130 North Warm Springs
Road.
SECTION 2. CONDITIONS. This Ordinance is conditioned upon the following:
A. Road base or roto-mill must be imported to the site and compacted to provide a
suitable parking surface.
B. Asphalt or similar paving material must be installed for the first 100 feet of the
entrances/exits to reduce the amount of dirt that will be deposited on City streets.
C. Temporary lighting must be installed that provides a minimum lighting output of
2.4 foot candles. The lighting must be shielded to prevent light spillage off-site.

D. Execution of an agreement, in a form acceptable to the City, providing for the
restoration of the site after the large scale special event.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect on the date of its
first publication. The City Recorder is instructed not to record or publish this ordinance until the
conditions identified herein have been satisfied, as certified by the Salt Lake City Planning
Director.
