AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT 13. 1
TO THE MASTER ANNEXATION POLICY DECLARATIONS; ADJUSTING THE
BOUNDARIES OF SALT LAKE CITY AND WEST VALLEY CITY BY ANNEX-
ING AND DEANNEXING CERTAIN AREAS LOCATED AROUND THE 2100
SOUTH FREEWAY; ZONING THE ANNEXED AREA INDUSTRIAL "M-lA" BY
AMENDING THE USE DISTRICT MAP AS ADOPTED BY SECTION 51-12-1
OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965.
WHEREAS, Salt Lake City and West Valley City have
agreed upon a boundary adjustment dealing with certain lands
bordering the 2100 South Freeway; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed
boundary adjustment is in the best interest of Salt Lake
City; and
WHEREAS, the requirements of Section 10-2-414 and
Section 10-2-421. Utah Code Annotated, have been complied
with; and
WHEREAS, the Council has held a public hearing before
itself and the Planning Commission on the proposed Policy
Declaration Amendment for this annexation; and
WHEREAS, no protest has been filed by written applica-
tion within five days following the public hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. Area. That the city limits of Salt Lake-
City be, and the same hereby are, enlarged and extended to
include the following tract of land formerly in West Valley
City, Utah:
Beginning at a point that is the Southeast corner
of the "Sharp Estate Annex" a plat on file in the
Salt Lake City Engineers Office, Drawing No. 18616N '
Acc. 2-H, Drawing 150, that is N.89 57129" E.
(Bearing Base) 1158.843 feet along the Section
line and S.00°02 '04" E. 452.293 feet from the
Northwest corner of Section 23, T1S, R1W, Salt
Lake Base and Meridian, (Bearing Base) is computed
from the State Plane coordinates by correcting for
the Theta Angle as shown on R.S.C. 1041 Plat on

SECTION 2. Zoning. Be it further ordained and
declared that the whole property above-described in Section
1 be, and the same hereby is, zoned Industrial "M-lA" and
the Use District Map, as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as
amended, relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use
Districts, be, and the same hereby is, amended by the
addition of said property to such classification.
SECTION 3. City Council and School District Map. The
"Salt Lake City Council District and School Precinct
Boundary Map" is hereby amended to include the parcel
specified in Section 1 of this Ordinance in Council District
2 and School Precinct 2, as specified on such map.
SECTION 4. General Jurisdiction. Be it further
ordained and declared that the said tract of land described
above in Section 1 shall henceforth be within the corporate
limits of Salt Lake City Corporation and all ordinances,
jurisdictions, rules and obligations of or pertaining to
Salt Lake City are extended over and made applicable and
pertinent to this tract of land; and the streets, blocks,
alleys and ways of said tract shall be controlled and

governedby __the. ordinances,--rules-and regulations-of--the -Cityin --
that regard. The monuments of the City Engineer shall henceforth
be taken therein as the standards of locations and distances of
said land.
SECTION 5, Deannexation. That the tract of land described
below is deannexed from the city limits of Salt Lake City and,
subject to passage of a similar ordinance by West Valley City, is
thereafter annexed to West Valley City and subject to the
jurisdiction and rules of West Valley City:

SECTION 6. Notice, Publication and Effective Date. This
Ordinance shall take effect upon the date of its first
publication. The City Recorder is instructed not to publish this
Ordinance until the Mayor shall certify that West Valley City has
- adopted the counterpart ordinance necessary for this-boundary
adjustment. Thereafter, a copy of the plat or map of this
boundary adjustment, together with certified copies of this
ordinance, shall be provided to the County Recorder of Salt Lake
County. The City Recorder is further directed to provide notice
to the Utah State Tax Commission under the provisions of Section
11-12-1, Utah Code Annotated, 1953, as amended.
