No. 16 of 1987
(Rezoning property at approximately 817 North
Redwood Road from Residential "R-2A" to Business "B-3"
pursuant to Petition No . 400-433-86)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED RELATING TO
ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS in response to Petition No . 400-433-86 by Ivory &
Company concerning rezoning of property located at approximately
817 North Redwood Ro ad , the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
has held public hearings before its own body and before the
Planning Commission, and has taken into consideration citizen
testimony, filing and demographic details of the area and the
master plan as part of its own deliberation. Pursuant to these
deliberations the Council has concluded that the proposed zoning
change is appropriate for the development of the canmunity;
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of
Title 51 .
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map, as adopted by Section
51-12-2, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as
amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts ,
be, and the same hereby is amended as follows :
Sec . 15-12-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the
following described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City,
Utah, located at approximately 817 North Redwood Road be, and the
same hereby is rezoned from Residential "R-2A" to Business "B-3 "
and the Use District Map is amended accordingly:
Commencing at a point in the west line of Redwood
Road said point being 868. 5 feet north of the
northwest corner of 700 North Street and Redwood
Road and running thence north along the west line
of Redwood Road 231 .0 feet; thence west 289. 96
feet ; thence south 231 . 0 feet ; thence east 290. 32
feet to the point of beginning . y6h,
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance, after the date
of its first publication, shall not become effective until
recorded with the Recorder of Salt Lake County. The Recorder of
Salt Lake City is instructed not to record this Ordinance until
the Mayor certifies to the City Recorder that a building permit
has been properly issued to complete all required improvements on
the property. If the foregoing condition is not completed within
12 months from the date of publication, this Ordinance shall be
null , void and of no effect, and no recording thereof shall be
allowed .
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 10th day of March 1987
