(Rezoning the northwest corner of 9th West and
8th South fran "R-4" to "B-3" pursuant to
Petition 400-484-86)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-12-2 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED RELATING TO
ZONING AND FIXING OF BOUNDARIES OF USE DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, in response to request for rezoning the northwest
corner of 9th West and 8th South by Petition 400-484-86 submitted
by Ray Campos the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah has held
public hearings before its own body and before the Planning
Commission and has taken in due consideration citizen testimony ,
filing of demographic details of the area and other matters .
Pursuant to these deliberations the Council has concluded that it
is appropriate to rezone the northwest corner of 9th West and 8th
South from the existing "R-4 " classification to a "B-3 "
classification for the development of the community in that
area.
Therefore, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, hereby
adopts the following amendment to the Use District provisions of
Title 51 .
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Use District Map as adopted by Section
51-12-2 , Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City , Utah, 1965, as
amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of Use Districts ,
be, and the same hereby is amended as follows :
Sec. 51-12-2. Boundaries of Use Districts. That the
following described parcel of real property in Salt Lake City,
Utah, presently zoned residential "R-4" located at the northwest
corner of 9 th West and 8 th South be, and the same hereby is
rezoned to business "B-3" and the Use District Map is amended
accordingly.
Commencing at a point on the north line of 800 ��/p
South Street, said point being 148. 5 feet West of
the Southeast corner of Lot 1 , Block 9, Plat "C" ,
Salt Lake City Survey, and running thence West
along the North line of 800 South Street 50. 0
feet ; thence North 12 5. 0 feet ; thence East 5 0. 0
feet; thence South 125. 0 feet to the point of
beginning .
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon publication .
