Anton H. Boxrud House located at
57 South 600 East, pursuant to Case No. 713 and
the Alfred J. Bettles House, located at
53 South 600 East pursuant to Case No. 716)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 51-32-2(4)(b) OF THE
REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS
AMENDED, RELATING TO HISTORICAL LANDMARK SITES.
WHEREAS, in response to Cases Nos. 713 and 716, the
City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, has held public
hearings before its own body, before the Historical Landmark
Committee and the Planning Commission and has taken into
account citizen testimony and other matters as part of its
deliberation. Pursuant to these deliberations, the Council
has concluded it appropriate to add the Anton H. Boxrud
House, located at 57 South 600 East and the Alfred J.
Bettles House, located at 53 South 600 East, as a city
landmark site.
THEREFORE, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
hereby adopts the following amendment to Section 51-32-
2(4)(b) .
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 51-32-2(4) (b) be amended by
adding subsection (38) and (39 ) as follows:
Sec. 51-32-2(4) (b) (38) Anton H. Boxrud House, 57 South
600 East.
Sec. 51-32-2(4) (b) (39 ) Alfred J. Bettles House, 53
South 600 East.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take
effect upon its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 16th day of February 1988
