alley located north of 1078 McClelland in Lot 16,
Block 17, 5 Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey in
Salt Lake City, Utah, pursuant to Petition No.
400-545-87, and repealing Bill No. 85 of 1987)
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION AND CLOSING A PORTION OF AN
ALLEY LOCATED NORTH OF 1078 McCLELLAND IN LOT 16, BLOCK 17, 5
ACRE PLAT "A" , BIG FIELD SURVEY IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, PURSUANT
TO PETITION NO. 400-545-87, AND REPEALING BILL NO. 85 OF 1987.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds,
after public hearing, that the City's interest in the public
alley described below is not necessary for use by the public as
an alley and that closure and vacation of the alley with the
reservation of certain easements will not be adverse to the
general public' s interest, nor will it relinquish or terminate
the City's interest in the closed portion of the underlying
property, without separate documents of transfer; and
WHEREAS, Bill No. 85 of 1987, closing a portion of this
alley and vacating a portion of this alley, contained an error in
the property description:
NOW THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt

SECTION 2. That a portion of the alley located north of

Survey, in Salt Lake City, Utah, which is the subject of Petition
No. 2002-545-87 and which is more particularly described below,
be, and the same hereby is, CLOSED and declared to no longer be
needed or available for use as a public right-of-way; and that
title to the City' s interest thereon be reserved and retained by
Salt Lake City Corporation pending subsequent transfer.

repairing, removing or rerouting said utilities, including the

and vacation are also subject to any existing rights-of-way or
easements of private third parties.
SECTION 4. Bill No. 85 of 1987 is hereby REPEALED.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall become
effective on the date of its first publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
