AN ORDINANCE FXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY TO
INCLUPF THE "HILL-LOVELAND ANNEX" ; 7ONING TFP FAME P-1 , SURTFCT
TO THE FOOTHILL DEVELOPMENT OVERLAY ZONE BY AMENDING THE USE
DISTRICT MAP AS APOPTPD PY SECTION 51-12-2 OF TFE PM7TSPP
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965.
WH ERFAS, there has been filed with the City Recorder. of Galt
Lake City, Petition No. 400-227 of 1984 , together with the plat
showinq the tract of land to be annexed and hereafter known
collectively as the "Hill-Loveland Annex" , reauesting that the
tract of land hereinafter described , he taken within the limits
of Salt Lake City Corporation;
WHEREAS, the said Petition is signed by a majority of the
owners of the real property and the owners of more than one-third
in value of all the real property, as shown by the last assess-
ment rolls, situated in the tract hereinafter described;
WHEREAS, the Petitioners have caused an accurate n_lat or map
to he made and certified to by a competent surveyor and approved
by the City Engineer, and to be filed with the City Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, on
the 15th day of January , 1985, passed Resolution No. 7
of 19 85 , accepting said Petition for purposes of review;
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt hake City, after examining
said Petition, having said Petition reviewed by various depart-

ments of the City , having considered the circumstances thereof
and after finding said proposed extension or annexation to be
consistent and in keeping with its Master_ Annexation Policv
Declaration being located in Area 14 of said Declaration as
amended on January 15, , 19 R 5 , said Council. voted by a two-
thirds vote of all of its members present, in favor of said
annexation; and

Lake City, Utah;
SECTION 1 . AREA . That the City limits of Salt Lake City,
be, and the same hereby are, enlarged and extended so as to
include the following tract of land in Galt Lake County, Utah:
A part of the S.W. 1/4 of section 14 , VS, R1E, S.L.B.
& M. , U.S. Survey: Beginning at a point on the west
line of Lake Line Drive 70 .55 ft. N. 89°41 ' 10" W.
alona the section line from the G 1/4 corner_ of said
Section 14, and running thence along said west line
the following five ( 5) courses: N. 7° 20140" w. 20.56 064
ft; Northwesterly along the arc of an 854 .99 ft. ra-
dius curve to the left a distance of 144. 08 ft. (L.C.
bears N. 12*10120" W. 143 .91 ft . ) ; N. 17*00 ' W. 225.00
ft. ; Northerly alona the arc of a 233. 54 ft. radius
curve to the right a distance of 114. . 13 ft . (L.C.
bears N. 3 *00' W. 113.00 ft. ) and Northerly alone the
arc of a 301 .56 ft. radius curve to the left a dis-
tance of 10. 70 ft. (L.C. hears N. 9* 59' 02." F. 10. 70
ft. ) ; thence West 161 .74 ft. ; thence South 108 .47 ft. ;
thence S. 13°00 TA7. 81 .85 ft. to the Northerly line of
Arcadia Heights Plat "D" Subdivision, Salt Lake City,
Utah; thence along said Northerly and Fasterlv line of
said subdivision the following three (3 ) courses : N.
82*3912.0" F. 84.09 ft. ; S. 1R °00 ' F. 241 .74 ft. and S.
6*00 ' TAT. 92 .00 ft. to the south line of said S.W. 1/4
section; thence S. 89*41 ' 1 0" E. 134.48 ft. along said
south line to the Point of Beginning. Contains 1 .553
acres.

SECTION 2. ZONING. Be it further ordained and declared
that the whole property above described in Section 1 be, and the
same hereby is zoned R-1 , subject to the Foothill Develorment
Overlay Zone required by 51-12A-2, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City ; and the Use District Map as adopted by Section 51-12-2
of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as
amended , relating to the fixing of boundaries of the Use
Districts, be, and the same hereby is amended by the addition of
said property to such clarification.
SECTION 3. GENERAL JURISDICTION. Be it further ordained
and declared that the said tract of .land described above in
Section 1 shall thenceforth be within the corporate limits of
Salt Lake City Corporation. Said tract of land shall be zoned as
herein provided in Section 2. All ordinances, jurisdictions,
rules and obligations of or pPrtaininq to Salt Lake City are
extended over and made applicable and pertinent to this tract of
land; and the streets, blocks, allevs and ways of said tract
shall be controlled and governed by the ordinance, rules, and
regulations of said City in that behalf. The monuments of the
City Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standards
of locations and distances of said land. .
SECTION 4. Upon the passage and publication of this
ordinance, the Citv recorder of Salt Lake City is hereby directed
to file with the County Recorder of Salt Lake County, a copy of

the map or plat above mentioned , duly certified and acknowledged,
as provided in such cases together with a certified copy of this
ordinance.
SECTION 5. 'This ordinance shall take effect upon the date
of its first publication, which shall not occur until the annexa-
tion plat has been properly submitted , approved and signed by the
Mayor.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 15th day of January, 1985.
