N rQ . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .City 5e 'uty City Recorder Published. ril .20 . . . . . . . . . . . . . ... ` O'88-1 P 88-27 & a SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 22 of 1988 (Wilkinson Annexation and Zoning) AN ORDINANCE RECOGNIZING THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENT 5C TO THE MASTER ANNEXATION POLICY DECLARATIONS; EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY TO INCLUDE THE "WILKINSON ANNEXATION" ; ZONING THE SAME RESIDENTIAL "R-2" BY AMENDING THE USE DISTRICT MAP AS ADOPTED BY SECTION 51-12-1 OF THE REVISED ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965, AS AMENDED. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. Findings. The City finds that the requirements for annexation specified by Sections 10-2-401, et seq. , Utah Code Annotated, 1953, have been complied with in all regards including the filing of Petitions No. 400-349 and 40-351 of 1985 for annexation signed by a majority of the owners of the real property and the owners of more than one-third in value of all the real property as shown by the last assessment rolls situated in the tracts to be annexed. CW Further, the City finds that petitioner has caused an 7, 'S accurate map to be made and certified by a competent O surveyor and approved by the City Engineer which has been 1\? c filed with the City Recorder. The annexation is in compliance with the City' s master annexation policy declaration and was favorably reviewed by the various departments of the City and the Planning Commission in compliance with law. All required public hearings were properly held and advertised and the time for written objection to the annexation elapsed without adverse comment. SECTION 2. Area. The revised Use District Ma CA p, as adopted by Section 51-12-1, is amended by the addition of the tracts of land described in Section 2, zoned Residential "R-2" . -2- SECTION 4. City Council Map. The Salt Lake City Council Map is amended to include the tracts of land specified in Section 2 of this Ordinance in Council District 7. SECTION 5. General Jurisdiction. The tracts of land described in Section 2 shall henceforth be within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City Corporation. All ordinances, jurisdictions, rules, and obligations of or pertaining to Salt Lake City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to these tracts of land; and the streets, blocks, alleys, and public ways of said tracts shall be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and regulations of Salt Lake City in that behalf. The monuments of the City Engineer shall henceforth be taken therein as the standards of location and distances of said land. SECTION 6. Filings and Notices. Upon passage and publication of this Ordinance, the Recorder of Salt Lake City is directed to file with the County Recorder of Salt Lake City a copy of the map or plat of the annexation, duly certified and acknowledged, together with a certified copy of this Ordinance.
