in Salt Lake City,Utah,pursuant to
Petition No. 400-499 of 1987)
AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY LOCATED
BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND MAJOR STREET NORTH OF HERBERT AVENUE
(1045 SOUTH) IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO.
400-499 OF 1987.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City Utah:
SECTION 1. That the portion of alley described below, located between Main
Street and Major Street north of Herbert Avenue (1045) South) in Salt Lake City, Utah,
pursuant to Petition No. 400-499 of 1987, be, and the same hereby is, CLOSED and
declared no longer to be public property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian
way, with the title to the same remaining in the City.
SECTION 2. Said portion of alley is more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at the northeast corner Lot 11, Block 7, Main Street
Subdivision a subdivision of Block 22 Five Acre Plat "A" Big Field '��
Survey and running thence South 100 feet to the southeast corner Lot 8; �
thence East 16.5 feet to the southwest corner Lot 35; thence North 100
feet to the northwest corner Lot 32; thence West 16.5 feet to the point of
beginning.
RESERVATIONS. said closure is expressly made: SUBJECT TO all existing

rights of way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description now
located on, in,under or over the confines of the above-described real property.
ALSO SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the purposes of obtaining,

maintaining, altering, replacing, repairing, removing or rerouting said utilities and all of
them, including the City's water and sewer facilities. Said closure is also SUBJECT TO
any existing rights of way or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect upon
