SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE
No. 33 of 1982
(Owner's Responsibility for Parking Violation)
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ARTICLE 8 OF THE TRAFFIC CODE OF SALT
LAKE CITY, UTAH, BY ADDING A NEW SECTION 155 THERETO.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Article 8 of the Traffic Code of Salt Lake
City, Utah, is hereby amended by ADDING thereto a new Section 155
to read as follows:
Sec. 155. Owner's responsibility for parking violation.
Whenever any vehicle shall have been parked in violation of any
of the provisions of any ordinance prohibiting or restricting
parking, the person in whose name such vehicle is registered
shall be prima facie responsible for such violation and subject
to the penalty therefor.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 18th day of May , 1982.
