036 of 2019 - New House 20 Budget Appropriation 0 19-1 B 19-1 SALT LAKE CITY ORDINANCE No. 36 of 2019 (New House 20 Budget Appropriation) An ordinance appropriating $125,000 for current expenditures related to New House 20 and appropriating another$125,000 that will be set aside and placed in a holding account for New House 20. WHEREAS,the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, appropriated funds for the Salt Lake City Corporation fiscal year 2019 - 2020 budget by passing Salt Lake City Ordinance No. 23 of 2019 (the "Budget Ordinance") on June 11, 2019; and WHEREAS, Line 157 of the "General Fund Key Changes" attached to the Budget Ordinance indicated that $125,000 of New House 20 additional funding would be set aside in a holding account; and WHEREAS, the Motion Sheet attached to the Budget Ordinance includes a statement of legislative intent under Motion 5(N)(iv)(d) indicating that the $250,000 in funding appropriated for New House 20 should be set aside in a holding account; and WHEREAS, On June 24, 2019, Mayor Biskupski issued a line item veto regarding the City Council appropriation for New House 20 because those funds were placed into a holding account; and WHEREAS,the Salt Lake City Council has noticed a meeting to reconsider the Budget Ordinance to address the items identified in the Mayor's veto; and WHEREAS,the Salt Lake City Council now desires to modify the fiscal year 2019— 2020 appropriation for New House 20. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah that: 1 SECTION 1. The Salt Lake City Council hereby appropriates $125,000 of base ongoing funding for New House 20. SECTION 2. The Salt Lake City Council hereby appropriates an additional $125,000 of funding for New House 20 that will be set aside in a holding account pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in the Budget Ordinance. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect on July 1, 19.
