(Vacation of an alley ) '
AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN ALLEY LOCATED WITHIN THE SOUTH SALT
LAKE SUBDIVISION. SAID ALLEY IS 25 FEET WIDE AND RUNS NORTH
BETWEEN RICHARDS STREET AND WEST TEMPLE COMMENCING ONE LOT NORTH
OF 2100 SOUTH STREET FOR 550 FEET TO ONE LOT SOUTH OF HARTWELL
AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds
after a public hearing that the City 's defeasible fee interest in
the alley described below which was formally dedicated within the
South Salt Lake Subdivision is no longer necessary for use as a
public alleyway and that the vacation of said alley described
below will not be adverse to the general public ' s interest.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah :
SECTON 1 . ALLEY VACATION. An alley located in the South
Salt Lake Subdivision running north between West Temple and
Richards Street commencing one lot north of 2100 South for 550
feet to one lot south of Hartwell Avenue which is the subject of
Petition No . 329 of 1982 , more particularly described below, be
and the same hereby is vacated and declared no longer to be
needed or available for public use as a public alley: r
Commencing at the northwest corner Lot 39, Block
1 , South Salt Lake Subdivision, a subdivision in
Block 6 , 5 acre Plat "A" Big Field Survey and
thence North 395 feet; thence West 25 feet; thence

South 395 feet to the northeast corner Lot 18 said
Block 1 ; thence East 25 feet to the point of
beginning . Contains 0 . 22669 acres.
RESERVATIONS. Said vacaton is expressly subject to all
existing rights of way and easements of all public utilities of
any and every description now located on, in, under or over the
above described property and also subject to the rights of entry
thereon for the purpose of obtaining, altering, replacing,
removing , repairing or rerouting said utilities and all of them.
Said vacation is also subject to any existing rights of way
or easements of private third parties.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after the date of its first publication.
