(Renaming Stephenson Way to Mohawk``Circ'Ie
pursuant to Petition No. 400 496-87)
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF STEPHENSON WAY TO MOHAWK
CIRCLE IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, UPON THE OFFICIAL STREET MAP OF
SALT LAKE CITY BY AMENDING SECTION 41-6-1 OF THE REVISED
ORDINANCES OF SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, 1965 AS AMENDED.
WHEREAS, in response to Petition No . 400-4 96-87 the City
Council of Salt Lake City has considered before its own body and
before the Planning Commission the renaming of Stephenson Way to
Mohawk Circle and finds the same to be appropriate, therefore
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the official street map of Salt Lake City ,
as adopted by Section 41-6-1 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to the location and names of
streets located within the City , be, and the same hereby is,
amended as follows : o

Sec. 41-6-1. Stephenson Way shall hereafter be referred to O
and known as Mohawk Circle. The name shall be noted on the

official map of Salt Lake City.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be published but shall not
take effect until it is recorded by the City Recorder. The City
Recorder is instructed not to record this ordinance unless and
until the Mayor certifies that the petitioners have paid to the
City the costs of new street signs reflecting the name change.
In the event such condition is not met within one year this
ordinan-e shall be vo id .
Passed by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah,
