(Vacating a portion of an alley located
north of 1078 McClelland in Lot 16, Block 17,
5 Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey in Salt Lake City,
Utah, pursuant to Petition No. 400-545-87,
and repealing Bills No. 85 of 1987
and No. 18 of 1988)
AN ORDINANCE VACATING A PORTION OF AN ALLEY LOCATED NORTH OF
/ 1078 MCCLELLAND IN LOT 16, BLOCK 17, 5 ACRE PLAT "A" , BIG FIELD
SURVEY IN SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, PURSUANT TO PETITION NO. 400-545-
87, AND REPEALING BILLS NO. 85 OF 1987 AND NO. 18 OF 1988.
WHEREAS, the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, finds,
after public hearing, that the City's interest in the public
alley described below is not necessary for use by the public as
an alley and that vacation of the alley with the reservation of
certain easements will not be adverse to the general public' s
interest, and that the portion closed by Bill No. 18 of 1988 has
been found to have already been owned in fee simple by the
adjacent owner; and

WHEREAS, Bills No. 85 of 1987 and No. 18 of 1988, closing a
portion of this alley and vacating a portion of this alley,
contained an error in the property description and purported to
claim fee ownership in land not actually owned by the City.

NOW THEREFORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That both portions of the alley located north of
1078 McClelland in Lot 16, Block 17, 5 Acre Plat "A" , Big Field
Survey, Salt Lake City, Utah, which is the subject of Petition
No. 400-545-87 and which are more particularly described below,
be, and the same hereby are, VACATED and declared to no longer be
needed or available for use as a public right-of way.
Beginning at a point 33 feet East and 163 feet South
of the Northwest corner of Lot 16, Block 17, 5 Acre
Plat "A" , Big Field Survey, on the East right of ways/��$$
LL line of 1000 East Street, thence 238.85 feet East to
the West right of way line of McClelland Street,
thence 5 feet South, thence 238.85 feet West to the
East right of way line of 1000 East Street, thence 5
feet North to the point of beginning.
Beginning at a point 114. 1 feet North and 33 feet
East of the Southwest corner of Lot 16, Block 17, 5
Acre Plat "A" , Big Field Survey, on the East right
of way line of 1000 East Street, thence 238.85 feet
East to the West right of way line of McClelland
Street, thence 5 feet North, thence 238.85 feet West
to the East right of way line of 1000 East Street,
thence 5 feet South to the point of beginning.
SECTION 2. RESERVATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS. The above
vacation is expressly made subject to all existing rights-of-way

and easements of all public utilities of any kind and every

effective on the date of its first publication.
